Each door protected the small, window like opening into a family's grain store, secured with a simple sliding lock. The carved figures primordial beings, ancestors, Kanaga masks, sun lizards and scenes of daily life served to protect the entrance and make it sacrosanct. Size: approx. 51cm H 30cm W 15cm D.
